Many of the steel frame projects wanted to eliminate the structural bracing to resist the lateral loads. Vescom provided its composite truss girders and joist in moment frames to resist these loads and at the same time the open web allowed for the necessary mechanical circulation in the plenum.
In the nursing home and community buildings, Vescom coordinated extensively with the mechanical and design openings in the trusses to accommodate the major duct needed for these facilities.
The owner’s financial requirements necessitated the accelerated design and delivery schedules. The buildings were to be complete from a shovel in the ground to move in eleven months. Vescom met these schedules.
